Mary Milo Woodley
Doctoral Student
Mary Milo Woodley, B.A, is a fifth-year doctoral student in the General Clinical PhD program in the Department of Psychology at UNCW. She is working on the National Consortium on Alcohol and Neurodevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA) under the supervision of Dr. Nooner. She has defended her dissertation and is currently completing an APA approved internship. She has presented NCANDA data at the Research Society for Alcohol conference and has several publications. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in neuroscience at UNCW while working in the Aging, Cognition, and Training Lab under Dr. Toth and Dr. Daniels. Her research interests include substance use, trauma, resilience, and neurodevelopment.

Sophie Majerske
Doctoral Student
Sophie Majerske B.A., is a third-year doctoral student in the General Clinical PhD program in the Department of Psychology at UNCW. She is working on the National Consortium on Alcohol and Neurodevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA) under the supervision of Dr. Nooner. Sophie defended her master's thesis and is doing practicum work in neuropsychology and individual psychotherapy. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in nutrition at the University of Vermont. Her research interest include childhood trauma, substance abuse, neurodevelopment, and social support.

DeMoni Ellis
Master's Student
DeMoni Ellis, B.S., is a second-year master’s student in the Psychological Sciences master’s program in the Department of Psychology at UNCW. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Her research interests include psychological health pertaining to marginalized communities, childhood trauma, and substance use. She is working on her master's thesis focused on a qualitative study of self-care for women faculty in STEM disciplines, under the tutelage of Dr. Nooner.

Ibtida Faruque
Master's Student
Ibtida Faruque, B.S., is a second-year master’s student in the Psychological Sciences master’s program in the Department of Psychology at UNCW. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a concentration in clinical psychology and a minor in childhood studies, at George Mason University. She is working on the NIH-NIAAA-funded R15 project for her master's thesis examining the relationship between brain function, ADHD symptoms, and academic achievement, with Dr. Nooner.
